Tips and Tricks- Christmas Crafts

We are so excited to have family here for Christmas!  The house will be hustling and bustling with cousins and all the kids can't wait to get together!  We will have 7 kids here in all, so I was thinking we need to get ourselves organized and get some crafts ready to go.  There will be lots of baking, Christmas music playing, and we're hoping for plenty of snow to make snowmen, maybe a team of snowmen!

Today's tips and tricks will be all about crafts that kids (with some help) can put together.  You can find them all on my Pinterest Christmas board or you can just click on the {source} link below each picture and pin directly to your own board.  As always, I'd love for you to follow through facebook or email updates if you like what you see here.  Have fun crafting with kids!

I used to make something similar to this when I was a kid.  A slay made out of candy would be a great gift for your kids' friends.

We can always use cute ornaments.

Baking sugar cookies is a tradition here in Lewisville.  The kids love to decorate them, and here's a great way to do that without making a mess.  Ditch the knives and use squirt bottles for no mess decorated cookies.

I just love original home made ornaments.  Here's another cute one made with sheet music.

This looks like something my kids would bring home from church.  What a great way to bring bells (the non loud and annoying kind) into the home!

You know all those toilet paper roll crafts that are all over the blog world, well, here's another one that can easily be done during Christmas time.  Cut up those rolls and make a snowflake the kids can paint!

Making snowflakes is another tradition here in Lewisville.  Aren't these nice? Not your traditional snowflakes, right?  These 3-D flakes are actually pretty easy to make; you just need paper, stapler, and scissors!

And just how cute are these?  Everyone feels so special when they see their name on a place setting.

We love popsicle stick crafts and when there's a snowman involved, it's a must do!  Some sticks, some paint, and some googly eyes complete our craft.

We live in Denver and most likely will have snow, but that doesn't mean ice cream won't be on the menu...several times.  Here's a fun way for the kids to enjoy their dessert.

We are definitely doing this!  I love the way this star looks and you just need a few supplies to make it.   Then there are those sheet music stars that are really easy to make since the template is provided.  Hint:  use staples instead of using a sewing machine.

I hope you enjoyed today's tips.  I think our days will be filled with some good times making these.  Have fun making some with your kiddos!
